Expertise - The people, areas or concerns I work with.

Whether you are looking for private therapy in Birmingham or Shrewsbury

I work with a wide range of difficulties or concerns, offering therapeutic mental health support.

My relational developmental approach is inherently trauma informed. I support people affected by both 'big T'  traumas - life changing, deeply distressing events - and the 'little t' traumas: repeated relational misses or hurts that accumulate over time. These often contribute to difficulties like low self-esteem, feeling out of place, anger, or depression.

I offer a space where your cultural background, identity, and lived experience are respected and valued. I understand how our histories, relationships, and environments shape who we are. Factors such as race, culture, heritage, sexuality, gender, and neurodiversity all intersect with our emotional well-being.

My practice is inclusive and attuned to these complexities. I work with care, curiosity, and respect for your whole experience — you’re welcome here just as you are.

Areas in which I work, but not limited to:

Abuse & trauma     ADHD & neurodiversity     Anger management     Anxiety & panic      Adoption & attachment difficulties     Bullying      Chronic illness  & health-related stress     Depression & low mood     Grief & loss     Identity     Infertility & reproductive challenges     Mental Health Issues   Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)     Suicide     Suicidal thoughts & self-harm     self-esteem     Spirituality & existential concerns
